About WebspaceWorks

WebSpaceWorks is the internet design and consultancy service of Bangkok-based RS-Tech Consulting Co., Ltd.. Originally developed to meet our own internal needs, we now offer effective website design, development and optimisation services to clients as stand-alone products.

Starting in 1995 with small sites designed to meet specific needs, we now deliver dynamic database-driven web applications, business websites and backend systems. To support this we maintain competences in a number of key areas, including search engine optimisation and web marketing, coding, database design, graphic design & layout, information architecture and document structure. Coding languages we support directly include (x)html, css, php, javascript and mysql.

Web standards

We were the first member in Thailand of the Web Standards Group (WSG). This is a global community of developers whose aim is to promote awareness and use of modern internet standards in the development of websites that are accessible to all users.

The websites we develop are compliant with these current standards. This ensures broad cross-platform functional compatibility with older browsers and different operating systems. While certain visual enhancements designed for newer browsers may not render in browsers dating from the 1990’s, the important functions of a website will still work as intended.

To this end we have also recently become the first Thailand-based developer to list on W3C Sites, a site promoting W3C compliant websites and the web designers and developers who create them.

Wordpress

This website is built off wordpress 1.5+, although clearly it lacks the familiar look and feel of a personal blog.

A significant effort has been made in customising Wordpress to deliver the WebspaceWorks website in its current form. Some of these enhancements are made available to the Wordpress community through our Wordpress Plugins pages.

Some of the modifications we have made specifically for this website remain too awkward in use to be made generally available. Those that are released though, primarily dealing with the folding of page and category lists, are offered “as-is” and free of charge under GNU General Public License.
