In general

Prices shown are intended for guidance only.

In general, the larger the task, or the greater the level of customisation required, the higher the price will be.

In all cases however, we wish to be as flexible as possible. So, if you don’t see a package/price combination that meets your needs, please feel free to contact us and discuss the matter further.

Unless otherwise stated, the following standard policies apply to pricing of all Webspace Works services:

Standard rates apply to work during normal office hours.
Customers in Thailand should add 7% VAT to all prices shown.
Urgent jobs attract a 100% surcharge on standard rates.
Unsociable hours (public holidays, weekends, etc…) are charged “time and a half”.
Signed agreement to proceed, accompanied by a deposit, typically 30% plus any fixed costs, is required prior to commencement of work.
Deposits are not refundable.
WebSpace Works reserves the right to modify pricing without prior notice.

Standard rates for each category of service will be indicated in the righthand margin of each page.

Consultancy Services

Advisory rates

Hourly: US$60/hr (min 4 hrs)
Daily: US$400/day (min 2 days)

Weekly and/or monthly rates are available upon request, but tasks requiring such sustained would normally be covered by either task-oriented or retainer types of approach.

WebSpace Works Internet consultancy services are available under the following arrangements.

Hourly or daily

Contracts costed on this model are suited to very short duration activity requiring minimal research in order to complete. It is not economical to run on these terms for more than a few days.

Options below are more suitable for longer tasks, or where advice is needed on a regular basis over an extended period of time.

Task oriented contract

Suitable for activity that requires some research effort, but where end objective is well defined and achievable within a finite period of time, typically on the order of a few weeks.

Pricing for such activity is strongly dependent upon the nature of the task and the duration over which the activity runs. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Retainer contract

Let WebSpace Works provide on-call internet advisory and research services whenever you need them.

Retainer contracts are available for 6 or 12 month periods, with pricing depending upon the expected maximum number of hours or days required each month. Time in excess of this would be charged at a discount on the standard rates described above.

Website design

Design terms

The following apply to Webspace Works site design services, in addition Standard pricing policies:

Prices exclude domain registration and site hosting fees.
Prices exclude costs of licensing external artwork
Prices exclude costs of engaging professional copy-writing services
Prices include 30 days of post delivery maintenance.
Further maintenance is subject to separate agreement.

WebSpace Works develops websites with prices starting at US$ 500 for a basic on-line “Business-card” type of product.

Beyond this, sheer variability in what constitutes a “Site”, even a “Page”, makes it impractical to quote pricing without first discussing exactly what is required with the client.

Maintenance packages

All Site Design and Development contracts include a period of 30 days post delivery maintenance and technical support. Thereafter maintenance activity needs to be paid for and we offer a number of solutions to meet a variety of requirements.

These are starting prices and assume no database support or need for custom scripting/programming in languages other than html.

Hourly: from US$ 45/hr (minimum 4 hrs)
Daily: from US$ 315/day (minimum 2 days)
Per incident: Hourly or daily rates (above) apply.
Monthly: from US$ 200 (up to 5 hours per month)
6 months: from US$ 1,060 (up to 5 hours per month)
Annual: from US$ 2,000 (up to 5 hours per month)

Please note that the above rates apply to routine work carried out within normal office hours (8am-6pm, Mon to Fri, except public holidays) only.

Review & Resue services

Review Rates

Overview US$200/site

Full technical review & reporting will attract the following rates:

Daily: US$ 220/day (min 2 days)
Weekly: US$ 1,000/wk (min 1 week)

WebSpace Works site review services are available under the following arrangements.

Quick preview

Overview of a website to check for standards compliance and basic troubleshooting. This is suitable for gaining a quick understanding of where any main problems or incompatibilities may exist within a website. The check is limited to the homepage and one or two inner pages and the report will be in summary form making general recommendations.

Technical review

Complete technical review and reporting for a small, uncomplicated site will require between 2-4 days to complete. For larger and/or more complex sites, or for those which involve e-commerce or other form of interaction with the user, the time requirement will be longer. All main sections of the site will be examined and a detailed review of any problems that are found presented in a section by section report.

Follow-up work

A one time discount will be applied to our normal rates for redevelopment work arising from any site review contract if received within 1 month of the date of the review. This discount will be 5% in the case of an overview report, or up to 10% in the case of a complete technical review.

Website optimisation services

Optimisation rates

These rates apply to optimisation services that are not part of an existing website development or redesign contract.

Hourly: US$ 50/hr (min 4 hrs)
Daily: US$ 350/day (min 2 days)

Weekly, monthly or retainer rates can be negotiated upon request.

Website optimisation can take several forms and can include any of the following activities:

Design recommendations during initial development
Post-delivery modifications as separate or part of a site overhaul
Routine evaluation and periodic fine-tuning of website performance in search engine rankings

Basic rates quoted at the right are for guidance only. Each site is very different in the specifics of its optimisation requirements, so it is difficult to give a precise indication of how long the process would take, or how much the total cost might be. For this reason, weekly, monthly or retainer-type contracts would be more appropriate where larger sites are concerned.

Daily: US$ 350/day (min 2 days)

Weekly and/or monthly rates are available upon request, but tasks requiring such sustained effort would be more cost-effective if approached on either a task-oriented or retainer basis.

All prices are exclusive of any licensing, hosting or other third-party fees that may be incurred.

It is the nature of custom developments to be highly variable, both in terms of the complexity of the work involved, and the duration over which the work needs to be carried out. In some cases there will be a clear-cut end to a specific task, while in other cases there may be a need for on-going support (maintenance) on a delivered system.

Each job tends therefore to be approached on a case-by-case basis.

Suitable for full- or part-time development activity, or background maintenance type of contract where it is anticipated that work will continue at a predetermined level of activity for an extended period of time of 6 months, or longer.

e–Newsletters

Newsletter terms

The following terms apply in addition to Standard pricing policies:

Be aware

Distributing html newsletters to large mailing lists can carry very heavy bandwidth requirements, potentially requiring a move from shared hosting to more expensive dedicated solutions.

WebSpace Works Newsletters can be provided in a number of different ways.

Stand-alone one-offs

Newsletters in this category are manually prepared by WebSpace Works and sent to the client for distribution through their own mailing list. There is no integration with a website involved.

Integrated to a website

Newsletters in this category will link through to items on a website. They can be either manually prepared by WebSpace Works for distribution by the client, or assembled by the client using an on-line publicaion tool that also manages the mailing list and distribution.

Pricing is therefore highly dependent upon the mechanism by which the newsletter is integrated with a client website, and on whether that mechanism is currently in place or needs also to be developed.

Webspace Works does not directly provide hosting services, instead using third-party hosting service suppliers.

We offer several options (see below) to suit a range of budgets and technical confidence.

Do it yourself.

You handle everything, from registration to configuration to operational problem solving, the only payments you make are direct to the host provider, with no overhead charge to Webspace Works.

Webspace Works Assisted

For an overhead of US$50 on top of the hosting charges, we will select a hosting package appropriate to your needs and set it up for you. We can then optionally manage things on your behalf under a domain management package.

Webspace Works Domain Management

We will manage your hosted domain on your behalf, looking after email accounts, mail forwarding, spam blocking, ftp, etc… Our charges for this service start at US$25 for 1 hour per month.
